For any topical application, carrier oil is always a good idea. Carrier oils provide a “blanket” of heavier molecules which encourage absorption rather than vaporization. Carrier oils also dilutes the essential oil to reduce the possibility of local skin sensitivity to the application.

The key to success when using essential oils is to use a very small amount consistently. For daily immune and cellular support, applying essential oils once daily is perfect. In other cases such as mood support, use the oils as needed. You can apply 1-2 drops as often as every 30 minutes when the need for support is strongest. Diffusing essential oils is a particularly effective method of use to support your mood. For occasional head discomfort you can use 1-2 drops of essential oils every 15-30 minutes until you feel relief. Always start with a small amount and be consistent with your use.
